I have heard a lot of chatter here at WBB about the reasons why people quit – today is no exception – Family!
Forgive me if I am wrong (no offense intended at all) but in my opinion, frankly this really is the most ridiculous reason of all to quit. What really gets me going is the apparent tidal wave of ‘support’, to clarify; by support, I mean agreement to the idea that family is a good reason to quit. Like, “understandable – family should be your first priority”
Seriously? How can you people be so shortsighted?
Family and our desire to free ourselves from the current necessities that life demands – is the very reason why we are here and why we do what we do. It is not going to happen overnight – you need to practice some delayed gratification.
Delayed gratification is when you apply some effort into something and reap the rewards sometime in the future. Sow the seeds now, water, and feed, tend, and harvest sometime down the track, not unlike the tasks of any gardener. We need to better understand there, I mean very fast that they are real quick or short-term fixes – the only short-term quick fix I know of is… called your JOB! However, for people prepared to want a little more for yourselves and your family there is, in my opinion – little other choice.
Come on people – Seriously?
I ask you – yes all of you – those of us here with family I ask you why?
Why – what were or more importantly, what ARE your money and non-money goals? Was what you want to achieve for your family among your goals? Are we not doing this thing here at WBB for our family? I for one am – seriously!
Some of you have 1 or more children which some of them are still schooling from home (who do not help much at all) some with disability and learning issues so running off to professionals etc all chewing into valuable time. Meanwhile, some of us juggle managing our home, properties and several business interests, education and some of them lives with our parents.
Family…. is one of the most important reasons why we do ANYTHING and everything – the very reason why we are prepared to DO anything legal, moral, ethical, honest… to achieve!
The Reason WHY?
Seriously what are our money and more importantly our non-money goals – and think seriously – what are we prepared to do to achieve them.
What motivates us and the reason why we are interested in business and the creation of wealth is different for all of us
- Some have goals for financial freedom
- Some for just a little more coin to supplement other incomes
- Some Worldbiblebank members are here for the community alone and not about the money. The Importance of
The importance of Emotional Goals
Most important reason, the factor that dictates whether we win or quit is our emotional goals. What are your emotional goals? This will be the #1 factor that determines whether you win or quit – is worth taking the time necessary to think seriously about your emotional goals. What will you walk over hot coals for? What motivates you to keep going?
We all have the same TIME
What we do with the time we have is individual choice & consequence.
Time management is one of the many challenges for … achieving any of our activities. Interesting feedback I read within the entrepreneurial business networking groups I follow is asking how people, especially women, do it – get things done – while juggling work, exercise, housework, children, family, and other social activities.
Responses are interesting, some use strict timetables like ‘time tune’ app on their mobile phone and are rather about sticking to schedules. Some rely on post-it notes everywhere to get things done, some work excessively longer days doing all their domestic tasks while children are at school, then work businesses activities after children have gone to bed. While I do not hear much from Men, and male experience l fail to understand why the attitudes and expectations that the responsibilities of domestic tasks are still weighing more heavily within woman’s experience.
Then to reward myself I book my next cruise.
…is about doing the best we have with the goods we have – acceptance for being less than perfect and remembering to reward yourself and those around you for efforts well done!
