So, you’ve found your destiny, RIGHT HERE!!! You’re going to give this business your all! You’re locked and loaded, you’re focused, and you’re going to make a lot of money. NOTHING is going to stop you, THIS TIME!!! You’ve Got This!!! So, you blaze thru the first few lessons… excitement fills your veins. This is Week 1.
Then, as suddenly as you started, the excitement dissipates! You stare at your computer, wondering, “Is this a good time to do this? I have SO many other things that needs my attention right now. I’ll come back to this later!”
The “monkey”, my friend, has just jumped on your back! That’s probably procrastination. You’re come to terms of the reality which is before you: “Making money in this business is a little more involved than I thought!” Rather than confronting the, “Can I actually do this?” you’re escaping to something less daunting. (Washing dishes, taking out the garbage, or maybe even doing your taxes!)
This is where you must confront any weakness. Clear your head! Make a statement, NOW! “WHAT’S MORE IMPORTANT THAN MY FAMILY’S WELFARE??? WOULD THIS CAREER GIVE ME THE HAPPINESS THAT I DESIRE??? WHY WOULD I NOT BE WILLING TO BE THE BEST THAT I COULD BE????
Get to your computer, AND TURN IT ON! Start with the next lesson, and try NOT to think of anything other than finishing the lesson before you. As good as the post of others may be, you may want to stray away from them until you’ve done your own task for the day. The posts are good, and well written, but they’re still your distractions. They will be there AT a later time, FOR a later time.
If the only thing holding you back is procrastination, then you must learn to, “ignore it, and upset it”. All that means is that you do the task at hand, not replace it with some other one not related to your business. Your business is the one that YOU MIND… We all need to, “Mind Our Own Business!” Once you stray away from that principle, we set ourselves up for failure.
Stay the course, be laser focused, toss out lame excuses, and get the “monkey off your back…”(Do you really need to do the dishes right now???)
